Tues. Dec. 11 Scores and Comments

Looks like East is kicking their bug of losing to Heelan.

93-51 FINAL East is now 4-0, and Heelan is now 0-5....

Tough year ahead for the Crusaders.

Iowa City West- Dub. Senior. Last game the Rams won it in Iowa City, but West is in control going into the 4th-- 39- 29 at Nora Gym in Dubuque. McCaffery has 19 so far, Carter 19 also.

Wow. Two point game with 19 seconds left, 51- 49. Senior at free throw line. Senior misses first of one and one! Now 6-9 transfer Brauns at line. Good. Good. West wins a squeaker. 53-51 Senior still without starting point guard Max Link. Carter 25 points, McCaffery 21. Great game since Senior didn't make a basket until almost the last minute of the first quarter.

Some interesting scores tonight. What’s going on with Glenwood? Really nice win for Wahlert tonight.

CR Kennedy over Wat East in double OT by 1. One of the guards for East had 47!

Tyrese Nickelson is the Waterloo East player mentioned. Averaging over 30 ppg and has been flying under the radar in terms of publicity for the past couple of years.

Sometimes it's hard to be the Champs. Big target on your back. Bishop Heelan is way down this year. Beating them should not be considered a quality win this year.

Way to contradict yourself. East are the cream of the crop in the MRAC and have won multiple consecutive MRAC titles. So Glenwood gets a pass for having a “target on their back” and losing twice, but East doesn’t, against a city rival that always brings their best when they play East?

Heelan doesn't really "bring their best" against East (at least not historically), but Heelan opponents--particularly East--historically bring their best against Heelan. Recently though, it hasn't taken anyone's best to beat Heelan in basketball, as they have been atrocious, esp this year. Saw them blow a 10 point 4th quarter lead against a bad SC North team the other night. They have some good athletes (Hogue brothers, Olson, Schiltz, Heller); they're just not basketball players. Could get better as the year progresses; they could hardly be worse. SC West looks like the team to beat in the MRAC this year. They did lose to East, but that was at East, which is typically at least a 10 point advantage for them. If East can win at West---or even on a neutral court---then I'll be impressed.

Your post is based off of blind hate and jealousy. You made a list of invalid points throughout it, but the funniest thing about it is that you can’t give East any credit. East is the team to beat in the MRAC and has been for a few years now. Ask any coach in the area and they’ll tell you the same thing. You’re alone in thinking it’s West. East controlled that game but fell asleep and almost gave it away.

Sorry cupcake, but East athletics isn't good enough to generate "blind hate and jealousy". The worm will turn in basketball (as it always does), and you'll be back to the irrelevant trolling you're so accomplished at.

See how cruhole is attacking all of “East athletics”, instead of staying on topic? That’s because he knows he’s wrong about East basketball and can’t face reality. I can’t blame him though, this school year has been really, REALLY, tough on Heelan fans. Could they beat Siouxland Christian? In a few years that’s who they will have to start scheduling. Westwood, Siouxland Christian, Homer...that’s really sad.

East athletics is on topic....but nice try, shaftjerk. And your empty hope that Heelan will fade as a school is as old as the hills. Rough year? For Heelan, which is used to excellence, particularly in football and basketball, not what they'd hoped for. They knew a long time ago that this would be a down year in hoops. But except for basketball, East has had a rough decade in most other sports.

Anyway, the bigger one doesn't need the last word, so cruhole......out.
