Is this one person’s ranking ? I’m just curious bc I cannot imagine any collective possibly having that top 5.
One way to look at who is best is by the recruiting activity In State by those who know them best.
One is being recruited far harder than the rest. Number two is clearly 2. 3&4 I can’t speak for to choose one over other and then 5 is distant 5th based on amount of time the Iowa schools out Into recruiting him.
Would you agree that’s quite Telling? If one gets multiple texts and calls weekly from multiple coaches incl HC , and hand written note from HC over three months and another here’s from Same Asst 1x per week and gets a couple texts, and received occasionsl hand written notes, that logically one can say they view one as top priority and other less so.

Then just based on watching them it’s equally clear bc one is distant last another is a project one has questionable size another didn’t play last season ,but off of film current or SO season talent and where they project in college with physical traits they have.
Volk
Gunnerson
Jones
Miller

Williams

Seeing all a camps and all play live and on film and seeing body types In person it’s 1&2 3&4 and 5 or 16

Based on their recruitment and it’s intensity from Iowa and ISU which days more than have an extra offer from MN or Purdue imo, from what I’ve seem and heard (I don’t claim to know all, but a fair amont)

Volk
Gunnerson
Miller
Jones

Williams.

#5 is easiest by far, #1 is next easiest. No idea who would have him beneath anyone. Blaise is two but has a less common injury but length and frame and can run and physical. If health holds up Not a project. You know what you get. Just takes two years.

Miller is highly developmental with big pros and one is also red flag. He’s 6’8 3/4”. No one In NFL to my knowledge is that tall and there’s a reason for it.

Logan is on small side at 6’2 and fairly filled out. Not huge growth potential. But can get to 275 and be fundemeny sound and tenacious. Like any number of past Iowa DL. And he was a GREAT HS OT

Williams is far from being a P5 RB and it’s not a skill set issue. He’s beyond blessed with speed and good frame and size. I can’t say much about intangibles but his stats speak volumes with a brutally low ypc (a guy who many thought to be 4star RB , in Iowa , with a solid OL and offense that puts pressure on QB not RB so teams couldn’t just stop Williams, should have a Min. 7.5 but pref 10ypc avg. almost no caries jnder 2-3 yards and most in 4-20 ya range, fightbfor yards.
Make plays out of NOTHING ,
Make plays out of NOTHING ,
Make plays out of NOTHING ,

Again , the interest and volume of contacts each received from schools was telling. #1 was by far #1 and 5 was clearly 5. One can make a Case for 2,3,4 but not 1 and 5.

Apologies I’m not normally so opinionated but this just seems egregious and so often recruit eval is very subjective lacking consensus. On this I believe Iowa, ISU and Neb staff’s made it easy on us

Thank you Iowa Preps for all you do to help get kids exposure and bring talented kids out from all corners of the state. From there it’s on you players and parents to take your boy places to be seen and evaluated. It’s not just going to happen. Especially in Iowa. New jersey and Ohio are different .

Good luck to all of those on the lists!
