about HOW we vote. Per the constitution, the terms of voting is left up to each state, which is fine IF the character of the individuals involved are trustworthy. My first time voting was in person and on Election Day over 40 years ago. Today, we have early voting (20 days in IA…almost three weeks!) I used it, they ask for your ID, check signatures and require two signatures on ballot envelope. Asking for ID at the time of voting is NOT voter suppression it’s prudent and helps to instill confidence in our process. But sending out ballots like Publisher’s Clearinghouse entries is completely unacceptable. Allowing professional ballot harvesters drop off stacks of ballots without verification is unacceptable and waiting days or weeks for states to certify their results is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!
