Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I am interested in playing in college whether it's football or track, I’d be very open to that.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The main school recruiting me has been grand view, I’ve been in contact with a few of their coaches.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“See above.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“N/A.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“N/A.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I plan on attending a couple of camps this summer including Iowa, Kansas, Grand View and NDSU.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was definitely Iowa.”

Q&A with Bettendorf defensive line/tight end Amari Washington​


Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes I have always wanted to play sports in college, it all started with basketball but as time went on I want to go play football in college.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I am verbally committed to the University of Northern Illinois, but other schools have been coming in to watch me work out along with some of my teammates so I could not be fired up to keep working.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“NIU was the first school to reach out to me and ever since junior day I have received nothing but love which I couldn’t be more appreciative of when schools show that they care.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made a few college trips so far. I've made it out to NIU and ISU so far but it’s a lot of fun for me and my family to go soak in all the experience these schools have to offer.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“For the near future it will be more camp focused rather than specific schools, working more to showcase what I have worked on for a while now.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“I will be at the Rivals camp May 19th, Iowa state big man camp June 1-2, and I’ll be out at north central for another large showcase just to get as many reps as possible and hopefully create more of a name for myself before my senior year of football.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“As I was growing up I was an Iowa fan but in the last year or two or so I have been a big fan of Texas.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes that’s the goal, I would like to either wrestle or play football in college, whichever gives me the best opportunity.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t been in contact with any colleges so far.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“See above.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“No, I haven't visited anywhere yet.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I might take a visit or two if I’m invited over the summer.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Right now I don’t plan on any camps.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Me and my family have always liked Iowa State but there are lots of colleges that I really like.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I’m considering either wrestling or football but have not decided on a specific one.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have looks from multiple D-3 and D-2 and talked with a few D-1.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I think there are multiple schools trying hard to get me there, but for sure Coe and Loras.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t had any visits yet but I plan on going on a visit to University of Missouri and a few others.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes I plan to visit them during summer break.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Plan on going to UNI and have not determined the rest.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Football wise I have always liked Notre Dame and Mizzou, for wrestling Iowa and Oklahoma State.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I’m planning on playing football in college, I haven’t made any kind of decision yet.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I received offers from Upper Iowa and Wayne State last week, I’ve been in contact with South Dakota too.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I wouldn’t say anyone has been recruiting me overly hard yet.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t been on any official visits yet, I’ve been on junior day at SDU but that’s it.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I believe I’ll be going to Wayne State later in July.”

Have you done any camps this off-season? How do you feel you performed?
“I’ve been to Lindenwood, K-State, Iowa State, South Dakota, SDSU, and Iowa so far. I’ve done pretty well at all the camps I’ve been to.”

Do you have any plans for camps ahead?
“I will go to UNI on the 14th, I’m sure I’ll add a few more.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Iowa was always my favorite college since I was little.”
