How is the AAU basketball season going for your team?
“(The spring) went pretty well. I am playing for the Iowa Dynasty and we have done good. We won some tournaments and were close in others. We will do good.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“Just open gyms with the team. We got a lifting program so we are trying to get stronger and faster. We have an agility program too. It is probably doing that.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I think we’ll be good and we are working for that. We did some team camps and looked good playing together.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017?
“I’d probably have to say either Greene County or Nevada.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been talking to Iowa Wesleyan, Briar Cliff, and Iowa Central has bene contacting me. It is schools around there.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Probably Iowa Wesleyan.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve taken a visit to Briar Cliff, one to Iowa Wesleyan, and a took one to Coe. That is about it.”
What camps are you going to this summer?
“I went to the Nebraska-Kearney elite camp and the Upper Iowa one. That is it for those.”

“It is still Iowa State for now. North Dakota State came to my school and there were four Division II schools.”
What were the Division II programs?
“Winona, Wayne State, Concordia St. Paul, and Minnesota State Mankato.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I’d say Iowa State is looking at me pretty hard. They are contacting me a lot but we’ll see what happens.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been talking to the Doane coaches a little bit. I went up for a visit and talked to their coaches. WE talked about scholarships and stuff like that.”
Are there any schools interested?
“That is pretty much the main one.”
Do you have any visits ahead?
“No, but I’ll probably plan a couple for my senior year of high school.”

What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“I’ve been staying busy and been to a lot of team camps. I’ve been making sure to stay in the weight room. We are making sure the team is preparing for the season.”
What have you improved on the most since football wrapped up?
“Since football ended, I’ve put on a lot of weight and gotten a lot stronger. My maxes have gone up but I need to work on speed with that.”
How do you feel about your first opponent of the football season in Sioux City East?
“East is always a team that comes out to beat Heelan. Everyone in Sioux City wants to be Heelan but East especially. It is a fun game to play in. It should be really fun.”
What camps have you done this summer?
"I went to USD camp, UNI, South Dakota State, and North Dakota State. I think I got more comfortable with the camps and I started doing a little better.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“South Dakota State, North Dakota, and UNI are the schools I went to. I have two offers from Mankato Minnesota State and the University of Sioux Falls.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“They all kind of just pop up in my inbox or they shoot me a text every once in a while. No one is overly recruiting me. I am grateful for it.”

“I went to the Chicagoland Showcase, UNI, Drake, and Simpson. I did pretty good and I definitely improved.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’d like to say Simpson is around there, Drake a little bit, a little bit of UNI, and Winona State.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I think UNI. They have already been a big dream school for me. That is the biggest one for me.”

“I visited Dordt and talked with their coaches.”
How was the visit to Dordt?
“I thought it was a nice campus. I liked their coaches and everyone around their campus. I liked what I saw.”

“It is just right now the main one.”

“I’ll probably try to do some this fall.”

“I have a lot of coaches that are recruiting me. Clarke, Dordt College, MaCalester in Minnesota, and I’ve been getting a bunch of stuff from Central and local Division III colleges like Loras and stuff like that.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Dordt College has been texting me on a daily basis. Clarke has been to a lot of my tournaments this year. MaCalester is probably near the top there.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I went and visited Clarke and toured the campus. I went to Minnesota and visited St. Johns and McCalester to see what It was like.”

Why did you decide to commit to Waldorf?
“I took a few visits there and really liked it. I really like coaching and how they play. It seems like a good fit. It is not too far away from home like too.”
What other schools were interested?
“Grand View a little bit. I’d say Morningside is the second most and Concordia in Nebraska sent a few letters.”
What was the hardest part about recruiting?
“It is the hardest to get coaches to come and see when you are playing for a smaller school. The coaches that made the effort to come and see me play I favored.”
