Wapsie Valley tight end/linebacker Tyler Ott
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would like to play sports in college. It could be either football, baseball, or maybe both. Right now, football is my top sport to me and that is the sport I would strive to go to college for. It is always my dream of playing at that level, especially in D1.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Right now, I have not been recruited to any because I’m only a sophomore this year. I hope I could get recruited to some big schools. My dream colleges are Iowa or Notre Dame. They have always been colleges I want to play football at. They both have good programs and good education systems also.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips, but I really want to try to make some soon and visit with them to see how I can get there. I also know where I would be able to go to school at after high school.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“The past few years I have loved Iowa and Oregon. I have dreamed of going to one of those colleges because they’re great colleges to me. It would be a real dream come true to go to one of those.”

Clear Lake running back Jaden O'Brien Green
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I’m interested in playing football or running track.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve just began early contact with Universities.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“No.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Iowa.”

Wapsie Valley athlete Kobe Risse
What sport do you want to play in college?
“As of right now, I don’t know which sport I want to play in college. I really enjoyed football this year and wouldn’t mind playing it, but I also would like playing basketball. Whatever opportunity I think is the best for me will be the deciding factor in which sport I will play in college.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t received a lot of college attention. I have not gotten anything for football yet. For basketball, Upper Iowa invited me to their camp, which I couldn’t attend because of baseball. I also got invited to Coe’s camp as well. I don’t really expect to see my recruiting to spark up until more junior and senior years.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t made any college trips yet. Junior year is when I’ll start visiting colleges to see what interests me the most. I’ll also have a better understanding of who wants me to play for them.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college is UNI. My dad went to UNI and then I grew up going to UNI games because Brooks McKowen played there. They have always been the team that I have been a fan of. If I were ever to get an offer to play there. I would take it in a heart-beat. Growing up, I always went to Panther Pals Camp, so I admired guys like Seth Tuttle, Ali Farokmenesh, and Wes Washpun.”

Lone Tree quarterback Harmon Miller
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I am trying to play sports in college. I am not sure yet if I want to play football or baseball yet, but I am exploring my options in both.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have taken a couple visits for football this year. I have talked to William Penn and Waldorf coaches and also have been talking to a couple out of state schools as well.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have visited William Penn and I plan on taking as many visits as I can next year.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have always been a Hawkeye fan. Being so close to the University and being exposed to it since I was a kid has made me a die-hard fan.”

...............................................

Iowa Valley quarterback Ben Smith
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“In college, I would like to play football even though wrestling is something I would like to do too. Wrestling has been something I’ve been doing my whole life and is pretty much in my blood. Football is just something I’ve always enjoyed, even if it is the off-season. I love being a teammate to the friends I’ve grown up with all my life. I would have to say football is probably something I’d enjoy more.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“None.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“No college trips yet.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up would have to be the University of Iowa. Growing up, my household is only Hawkeye and nothing else. It makes it hard to pay attention to any other colleges.”

...............................................

Van Meter quarterback Anthony Potthoff
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I have always wanted to play baseball in college, but mainly for me right now it would be education over sports.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Nothing big. It has been a few DIII letters.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not yet.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Absolutely. My entire family have always been huge Hawkeye fans, and I fell into that tradition as well.”
