Lisbon athlete Baylor Speidel

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would love to play sports in college. It’s what I put the majority of my time into. I would love to either play football or track and field. Football is one of the greatest team sports. Track and field is probably the sport I am most skilled at the moment.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Currently the only college that has personally reached out to me is Loras College. I had a really encouraging and helpful conversation with coach Matt Jones over being a dual sport athlete for Loras in the future. I’m hopeful more colleges and universities may do the same in the future.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Like I said, Loras College is the only one to personally reach out to me.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have no plans but I plan to go somewhere down the line. I feel like that is a very important step for colleges in the recruiting process.”

Do you have plans for game day trips?
“No but I would welcome that idea. That seems like a very enjoyable experience.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Of course, Iowa University because of the closeness and D1 nature of the college. However recently The University of Northern Iowa has caught my attention. I enjoy what they do and where they are. Wartburg would also be a favorite as they are the D3 track and field national champions. Any of those three would be my top picks to participate in college athletics for.”
