Sioux City is having a strong year so far

SC East looks really good with a win over a really good SC West team.

Watch out for West this year, they’ve won at Sgt. bluff, and we’re 3-0 until losing a close one at East Friday night. They may not have the dept to win state but I think they certainly have the talent to make it to state and win the Substate.

East is the favorite but North and West are looking solid. North defeated Heelan, as Heelan is having a down year and hasn’t filled the void of Hazekamp.

Sgt. bluff doesn’t look like the team they were last year when they made it to the Well, but they did defeat Bishop Heelan and have won against last years Substate runner up in CB Lincoln. West also took care of CBAL.

If I had to rank the metro it looks like this

1. SC East
2. SC West
3. Sgt. Bluff-Luton
4. SC North
5. Bishop Heelan

I fixed it. East still has to play Western Christian. Heard a good player went down for Western Christian due to injury? If so that sucks. Anyway, that’s what I get from going off of the SC Journal....paper....well it should be a good game. I think East is really solid defensively, as I’m sure Western Christian is too this year, considering that’s the core of their success. Which team has more or better versatile scorers, that can create their own shot and beat the defenses? We shall find out.

VanderHoops, it looks like Maxpreps has the girls result on the boys schedule. Should try and get that fixed.
