Mount Vernon (10-2) v. Albia (12-0)
Mount Vernon has made a nice run in the playoffs. Destroying Beckman in round 1 41-14 and then avenging a loss to previously undefeated Anamosa 33-20. I don't know much about Albia other than that Isley is a beast and they didn't play anybody until they beat South Tama on Friday 17-6. Any insight on how that game went? I heard Isley got hurt?? Based on what I know I'll take Abia, but in a very close game.
NFV (10-2) v. Spirit Lake (12-0)
Spirit Lake hasn't really had a close game in the playoffs and I hear their QB Backhaus is an absolute stud. NFV is coming off a tight win against Waukon and have a dominant line. I think this game comes down too if NFV can contain Backhaus and if Spirit Lake can avoid getting wore down by the persistent NFV running game. I'll say toss up in this one. Thoughts?
