Are teams still allowed to scrimmage other teams prior to the first game? Any good match ups if it is allowed?

I bet that is a game to watch. Two teams that would like to hit each other. Scrimmage or no scrimmage that would be the best game on the night in Iowa.

had a family issue come up so we were unable to go. Darned kids, right?

Went to Regina/West last night.

West had a much deeper roster, but Regina had could play with them.

West was better in the skill positions, but Regina was strong up front.

In a real game, I'd favor West, but it wouldn't be a blow-out by any means.

An interesting comment I heard was if its game 1 with everyone at full health and a specific game plan on defense they favored Regina in a close game but in weeks 6-7-8 etc West would be favored due to better depth. Who all stood out?
