I'm looking at a lot of these scores, along with other scores from throughout the season, and thinking to myself................................yep, we really don't need a shot clock.

Deal with it.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not. I watched a high school game in SD last week that had a 35-second shot clock. I loved it. It improved the pace of the game and made both teams work on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. We are long overdue for the shot clock.

Umm, I'm not being sarcastic. We don't need it. Thanks for playing. :)

A shot clock is needed. You only need to look to this year's North-Hoover game, or the other 4th quarter stall-ball when a team gets up 10 with about 3 mins left. Or look at Valley's stalling in the 4A state games a year or two ago.

Seems like a 4A problem with try hard coaches........not my concern.

I look at the majority of scores, and girls scores too....and it just isn't needed.

The problems with shot clocks are:
1. Another paid person to run a game. Attendance is down. Attendance is WAY down. Schools do not need another cost to run a game between two small towns in west Iowa.

2. Puts too much emphasis on point guard play. Simply not enough good guards around and game gets dominated by the team with the ability to penetrate. NWIA, your example in South Dakota is good. Look at the state champions. Year after year it is that same programs.
