Doesn't Washington and MP play each other?

Yes, they do. If Washington wins it knocks Mount Pleasant out of playoff contention. A Mount Pleasant win puts them in the playoffs ... Washington, I think, would still have a shot to qualify as the 16 seed, depending on how other games go.
