Rebekah Topham - summer national title

Rebekah Topham of Griswold picks up a national win in the 1500 in a personal best time of 4:37. She also finished 5th in the 3000m, which she likely could have contented for the win as based on her time (11:01), she wasn't running to win (her high school time was under 10:00 last Spring).


Overall, just a huge talent to continue putting the Iowa High School girls on the national map.

In mid June at the USA Junior Championships, she ran 4:28.92 in the prelims of the 1500 to qualify for the finals. That time puts her third on the all-time list.

That's an unreal time for a freshman! Hopefully she continues to improve.
