What Happened to Bryce Hall is SE Warren? He didnt llay last week in their win against Newell-Fonda. Is he hurt, or did he get suspended? Alex Hommer was suspended for their Lenox game, but I was unsure if Hall would be back tonight or what.

Based on a Twitter report, Don Bosco beat Rockford 80-6 early in the season.
Tonight Rockford pulled the monster upset beating the Dons in OT 32-26.
That isn't even comprehensible.
What happened?
Did the Plague decimate the Dons squad or something?

The Dons rushing and tackle leader was out tonight. Doesn't take away from Rockford's accomplishment but it definitely played a factor

CLASS 8:
Fremont-Mills, Tabor 61, Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton 20
New London 56, Iowa Valley, Marengo 20
Rockford 32, Don Bosco, Gilbertville 26 (OT)
Southeast Warren, Liberty Center 46, Ar-We-Va, Westside 44

Rockford goes from being a terrible 0-9 class A team to being in the state championship in 8 man! Talk about a huge jump of talent between classes!

3 out of 4 teams in the semi finals played 11-man last year. What happens is these teams have a lot of talent returning and then they play 8-man where they have 3 less guys, so these teams are not hurt by graduation. Either way, Rockford is an amazing story. I'll be curious if these teams can sustain their success.

I think Rockford has the upper hand in the finals. They are battle tested. Plus they have more 8-man experience from a couple of years ago so they might have some tricks up their sleeves still. Going to be a good game next week.

Not only was rockford 0-9 last year. But coming into this season they had lost 23 straight games. Something like 1100 days since they last won a game

Glidden-Ralston did the same thing when they won their 8 man championship in 2005 @ 12-0, becoming the first school to win both an 11man(1975 also 12-0) and 8man championships.
