What are you guys thoughts on Pella Christian vs Bellevue this Friday night???

This is the toughest game to pick of the four remaining ones I think. But, in the big picture, I don't think the outcome of this game matters much, because I don't see either of those two teams beating any of the other three teams I see going through.

Welp, PC might as well not make the 3+ hour drive then.

I dont know anything about PC, but based on results, I see no reason why they wouldn't be able to compete with any other team that is still playing...and, seeing Bellevue throughout the season, I know they can compete with anyone they are up against.

West Branch @ Van Meter a tough pick or is that one clear cut? VM has a great junior combo with their qb and rb. What happens if one of those two gets shut down? WB has had a lot of success with their qb and rb tandem as well. A lot of speed and talent on the field between these two teams. It may come down to a late turnover and key defensive stop that will preserve the win.

West Branch and Van Meter should be a pretty good game. I think Van Meter has the better defense and has recent big game experience. I also think Van Meter is a better balanced team. West Branch's prospects depend solely on their QB transfer. If he throws a pick or two or Van Meter finds a way to slow him down, I think they win comfortably by at least a couple of scores.

Where did Cornwell come from? He's a very talented qb.

He went to Southeast Junior High in Iowa City where he lives. His older brother went to Iowa City High, but instead, he decided to attend high school in West Branch.

Well, he's done a nice job for the Bears. I'm sure Van Meter will be ready to get after him. It will be a significant difference between VM and Osage's defense. Pressure and playing assignment football will be on a whole new level.

I think the VM-WB game should be close. Do not know a lot about WB other than what is said on here, but to stop VM you need to plug up the middle on the RB and watch contain on the QB. Their QB is not a great passer. If WB can stop the run they should win.

Bellevue PC is interesting. PC has played some tough teams. So has Bellevue. Bellevue seems small but quick. I do not see where you get the idea that neither one of these teams stand a chance at the dome. Bellevue is undefeated and #1 in the power rankings who everyone agrees is probably better than the RPI. So if that is a close game they both could have something to say at the dome.

Thanks for the insight into VM, don’t know much about them other than they are defending State Champs. What kind of size do they have? I’ll take Bellevue in a close one against PC. Both talented teams.
