Add in game scores, talk, and finals here as the teams have a berth to the UNI-Dome on the line now!

After NH throws a pick within the 10 yard line, they score again later and up 17-7 on North Fayette.

Sioux Center 7,
Spirit Lake 0

SL ball at the 20 yard line after SC throws interception in the end zone. 7:30 left 4th quarter. Fast game.

Appreciate updates GridIron...apparently you and I should just be texting each other. NH up 24 14 with 5 min left in 3rd.

SL goes three and out. 30 yard touchdown run by SC quarterback.

Sioux Center 14,
Spirit Lake 0

Under 6 minutes in 4th quarter.

INT thrown by SL quarterback. 4 minutes left to play, but the game is pretty much over.

Sioux Center 14,
Spirit Lake 0

Thanks for the updates Teenage. Well, we all thought NH and NFV would battle it out this year.
Didn't know it would be twice. Congrats to NH on a strong season.

Dont have a score but i heard hampton lost in o.t. just missed a 32yd fg to win in regulation.

The semis will have only 1 team that was champs in their district. Very good competition in 2A this year.

It seems to me like the semi matchups should be pretty clear cut:

Sioux Center vs Dyersville Beckmann
Albia vs North Fayette Valley

I certainly hope they don't put NFV and SC together in the semis. Also can't imagine they would put
DB and NFV together in a rematch.

District 3 was without a doubt the toughest in 2A this year. Congrats to NFV & Beckman!! Also, a great year for NH.....well done boys!

Just looked at all of the semi matchups in all classes. I don't get why the state feels the need to match all teams up based on geography when they are all going to travel to CF anyway.... Yeah, I know that's "how they used to do it." Just seems like, since they adopted a new way of thinking this year for the first rounds, why not carry that out all the way through the playoffs?

(Side note: Dyersville Beckman and North Fayette Valley sure do face off quite often for the right to "advance on" from NE Iowa..... They have gone through each other many times in baseball, many times in football, and at least once in basketball in the last few years)
