Add in game scores, talk, and finals here as the teams have a berth to the UNI-Dome on the line now!

Good to hear that the UNIDome is going "on the line", another example of "The Internship" ringing true within our culture.

Newspapers say that CRX has lost two captains to injury, but CRX coach has no comment. A wounded dog is a dangerous dog. Both teams will need to strap on the helmets tight at Saints Field.

Hope springs eternal...the Creston/SCH matchup is reflecting on a good first half for Creston. The Washington/Pella matchup is noting overall yardage produced by Washington between the 20's.

DCG seems to be capable of withstanding prior game comparisons.

As of this post...all games are 0-0.

Its tied at 35 with 8:13 left in the game

REFUND on the Creston/DCG game? Perhaps not. Clutch free throws at the end...oops, clutch 2 pt conversion.

What an exciting game!

Pretty good set of quarterfinals for the 3A class.

Pella will be tough to beat! Jansen is a huge player on both sides. Headed to Cincinnati to play D1 and he proved that tonight. Not sure if anyone can keep the title away from them. Clayberg had a good game, but Murphy and Henry ran well. Didn't need clayberg to take over the game like he can tonight. Would be a bad call if they don't put Heelan vs pella in the semis. But it doesn't matter cause pella will roll and be your 2014 state champs.

Xavier still has a stout defense that has losses to Dowling(Beat team in Iowa) and Regina(Possibly 2nd best team in Iowa. Yes, second best. The best Regina team we have seen.).... Head scratching loss to Western Dubuque though.

Creston beat Norwalk by more than Pella did, so don't count them out either if they meet up.

To me, Xavier's loss to Western Dubuque proved they could be game-planned. The Bobcats prepared outstandingly on defense to thwart Xavier's run game, and the Saints also missed an extra point and a relatively short field goal. Xavier also didn't complete a pass in that game.

Coach Schulte has made a lot of offensive changes since that game. The Saints have a whole different, more varied attack.

Pella is really really good. This should be a good defensive showdown - of course, I kinda thought Friday at Saints Field would be, too, and that ended up 27-17, so what do I know?
