How did the high school football season go overall?
“We worked hard but fell short of our goal to win state again. Our captains led us well and we played our hearts out. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to get back at it.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I tore my ACL in week 6 so my focus has been rehabbing and getting stronger. I am already back jogging and have had tremendous physical therapy from Kevin Lux, who is one of our team trainers. He has helped me progress quickly and pushes me every session to heal and improve so I come back bigger, faster, and stronger this fall.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“To improve my football acuity, making reads, and picking up keys on the opponent’s offense better.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We will be back at the top, no doubt.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“We don’t know how the schedule will play out yet, but we have the best coaches in the state and they will be sure to prepare us for anyone we face.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I plan to play football in college and have loved and studied the game since 3rd grade.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have had some good conversations with a few programs, but it’s early and I still have a lot to showcase.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Nothing official yet, but I really enjoyed camps last summer at UNI, Iowa and Notre Dame.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I look forward to more trips this spring.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“It’s a Hawkeye state.”
