How has the season been going so far?
“This season we’ve been playing decent so far. When we play together, we’re a tough team to beat. Sometimes we get lazy and don’t play our best basketball. When we’re on and playing with intensity, we can beat any team that steps on to the court.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think our team lacks toughness and intensity. We need to be able to take the ball to the hoop stronger and play tough defense the whole game. We go through spurts where we are playing hard then let off the gas. We have to keep that intensity the whole game.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Going forward, our key to success will be on the defensive end. I feel like if we are playing tough defense, our offense will fall into place. Defense leads to offense. If we do that, we will be golden.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“A couple of goals for the rest of the season I would say for me personally are get stronger with the ball and not try and force things leading to turnovers. For the team, our goal is to win out, which would mark us first in the conference. I think we can do it if we focus and practice with a purpose.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I would like to play basketball or football in college. I enjoy both games equally. If I got an offer for either or both, I would look into it.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have not had much recruiting going on. I’ve gotten letters from schools like Buena Vista and Briar Cliff, but that’s about it.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not taken any college visits yet. I need to start looking into them.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Iowa has always been my team growing up. Both of my parents are big fans of the Hawkeyes, so I always stayed with them ever since I was little.”
