What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“I was lifting every day during school. We just started summer football lifting this week then also have been running three times a week.”
What do you feel you have improved on the most since football ended?
“I believe I have improved on my speed. I think I’ve gotten a lot faster since last year.”
What are your areas of focus going forward?
“Not only doing what’s best for me but doing what’s best for my team so we are able to reach our goals.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I believe we will be one of the top teams. We got most of our starters back and our whole lineup will be seniors mostly. I don’t think title talk is something we can’t talk about.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“I think Mepo and Sigourney-Keota will be the harder games in our district.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would like to play sports in college. And as of now, I’m just opened minded. I haven’t really gotten anybody that’s really interested, but I would like to go for either football or baseball.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t really had anybody that’s really interested in football, but I have had a lot of people interested in wrestling. It has been schools like Cornell and a couple of other small schools.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Cornell for wrestling, which I’m not really interested in going for wrestling.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I took a game day visit to Upper Iowa for football. I also went on a visit to Cornell.”
What camps are you going to this summer?
“I have been looking into a couple of camps. I am trying to get to some, it is just hard to do with a packed baseball schedule.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Mine is probably just like every other Iowa kid. I was always a Hawkeyes fan and still to this day I am.”
