How did the baseball season go?
“Really good. We had a really good season and a lot of our senior stepped up and played well for three or four months. The season went great.”
What are you doing now workout wise?
“We have football coming up. I’ll be playing semi pro ball with the Hawks. I’ll play fall events for Perfect Game and PBR. I’ll go to Fort Myers and Jupiter, Florida to play in events. I’ll keep playing baseball throughout the fall.”
What are your main areas that you want to get better at?
“Overall getting bigger and stronger would be the main goals of mine. I want to improve on catching and arm strength. Those would be huge goals for me also.”
How do you believe your football team will be this fall?
“I think we will have a great season. We got some really good athletes and our coaches are awesome. It should be fun.”
What will be the toughest game this season?
“Like last year, our toughest games were Cedar Rapids and Cedar Falls. We’ll play Pleasant Valley and they have a great program.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have offers from Iowa, UCLA, Arkansas, and Cole Miss. I also have been talking to Arizona, Arizona State, USC, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and that is about it.”
Which schools have you been able to visit?
“I visited Ole Miss, Arkansas, Vanderbilt, Arizona, Arizona State, Iowa, and UCLA.”
Did any of the visits stand out over the others?
“All of the schools were great. I can’t go wrong with any of them. They are all awesome.”
When do you want to make a final decision?
“I really don’t have a timeline or anything. It will be when it feels right and when I feel comfortable. That is when I can make the right decision.”
Will distance matter?
“No, not at all. Not really.”
Does a warm climate factor in?
“That is kind of in the back of my mind. You want to play in warm weather but also you want to go to a baseball school with a great program.”
