How did the high school football season go overall?
“The 2018 season went not as expected. The year before, I started as a sophomore I was brought into a really good team with really good seniors like Ben Granstra and others. This year was a little different. We went 3-6 and the year before we went 8-3. It was a little different being a junior and not having the season we wanted, but we will definitely be ready for next year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Now that football is over, I have wrestling starting right away and on top of that I have football workouts that I will be doing through our school along with a personal trainer once wrestling is over. I am definitely putting in off-season work for sure.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“As a player, I’m trying to improve on my speed, agility, and my strength. Once I can combine my strength and speed, I will be a better all-around athlete and linebacker.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Next season, we have a lot of the same guys returning and they will be ready for this next season. Everyone is putting off-season work in, so as a team, we will be stronger and faster.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Next season, just like every upcoming season, BHRV will be circled on our calendars so we will be ready for them. They are always good and have talent all around, so we need to be ready.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I am playing football in college. Wherever that is that’s up to God and his plan, but yes, I would like to play college football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“There has been a couple of colleges interested in me like Iowa Western, which is Juco, as well as Northwest Missouri State, which is D2. My overall goal would be to play D1 somewhere, but that’s all up to God and his plan. I have been sending out emails and contacting coaches just waiting on the right one.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t made any college trips yet. I will be doing that after the college football playoffs are over. That is when I should be getting most of my recruitment.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“No, I didn’t really have a favorite college growing up, but if I had to choose, it would be Boston College.”
