What did it mean to know that you’ll be playing at state this week?
“It is amazing. This is like the first time in eight years since West Delaware was at state. We had the same record our coach did when he got there. It is an amazing season to go undefeated so far and get to state.”

What do you know about your opponent in Dallas Center-Grimes?
“We know that they run five out mostly. All of their guards are in the starting lineup. We are going over them in practice.”

What do you know about their players?
“I don’t know a lot about them at the moment yet.”

What are the keys that will determine the winner?
“I think we definitely have to play together as a team. If we start to fall behind, we have to pick each other up and play. We have to continue to play as a team and use team work.”

How do you avoid nerves of the big stage of state?
“I just think we have to play it like any other game. Dallas Center-Grimes is not better than any other team we have played. They have a 15-9 record. We just have to play together and not let everything around us bother us.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have bene in contact with Briar Cliff. I have been getting a lot of letter from them. Mount Mercy has also contacted me a little with just letters.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not yet for basketball.”
