What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“I’ve been doing our summer workouts at home and adding my own personal stuff to it. We started team conditioning a couple weeks ago. Also, me and some teammates run routes a few times a week.”
What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“I feel I’ve improved on my mentality the most. I’ve also picked up some size while maintaining my speed/quickness.”
What are you trying to improve on before the football season begins?
“I’m trying to get as strong and quick as I can. I also want to be the best leader I can be.”
How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“It’s affected it by not having the team together in the weight room. I’m fortunate to have my own rack at home so I can lift every day.”
How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel we’ll be successful if we put in more work than necessary. The main thing everyone on the team needs to do is buy into the program.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I feel like we have one of the toughest districts in 2A.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“I believe Carter Henry from Crestwood for our district will be one of the toughest based on how close our game last season was.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The University of South Dakota, Concordia-St. Paul, the University of North Dakota, the University of Mary, Grand View University, the University of St. Thomas, Morningside, Northwestern, Graceland University, Loras, and Simpson.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I would say the University of South Dakota.”
Have you made any college trips yet
“I haven’t been able to do many visits yet due to COVID, but I did get to visit CSP recently.”
Do you have any plans for college visits this fall? If so, where?
“I plan to visit as many as I can, just undecided which as this point.”
Do you have any plans for late camps this summer?
“I’ve been invited to several and recently did a Riggs high school combine. I’m not sure which ones I’ll be able to make it to since our school program will be starting July 1 and I feel it’s important to be at all the team stuff since we’ve missed so much.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite team growing up with the University of Iowa because there was someone from Waukon on team, so that was fun watching.”
