How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall, I think the season went pretty well for our football program. We ended the season 8-3 being the District 6 champion and being a quarterfinalist. We had a tough strength of schedule and overcame many obstacles.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am currently in the midst of the soccer season, but when I am not playing soccer, I am consistently hitting the weight room along with my teammates.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“As a kicker, I am working on my kicking techniques and distance. As a player within the Waukee football program, I am working towards being a good leader for the team.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“We are losing a lot of valuable seniors, but I think the team next year will be able to rise to the challenge. Our coaches make sure that we have a tough schedule so we can grow as a team. They do their very best during practice to make sure we are prepared for the challenging game ahead.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“We take every team on the schedule as serious as the last. We like to push ourselves to the limit and have fun while playing the game we love. The Des Moines metro area has some of the best football teams around, so no game is considered easy.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“It would be an honor to continue my kicking career in college. I am working on honing my skills for the next level.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“At the moment, I am communicating with a lot of schools around the Midwest. There are no offers at the moment, but at this point in my career that isn’t my biggest concern.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“All colleges who I am in contact with are in the early recruiting stages.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not at moment. I have been focusing on going to the state schools where I would go if I was not asked to play college ball.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, at this point in the school year I am not dedicated to visiting campuses and talking with their respective coach.

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have been a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes since I was a little boy. I followed them through the good times and the bad. I made an effort to attend their football games every year. Both my parents attended the University of Northern Iowa. I am also a big fan and active follower with their sports.”
