What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Currently with this virus going on I’ve been doing a lot of at home body weight workouts and going out for jogs and runs trying to get better while all the facilities are closed.”

What do you feel you have improved on most since last football season?
“My mindset. I feel like now I am way more focused and ready then I’ve been the last 3 years. I know exactly what I want to accomplish this year and I know exactly what has to take place for me and my team to be successful.”

How has Covid-19 factored into your workouts?
“Not being able to lift is the biggest thing and not being able to go out with the guys and get some work in because of there being too big of a crowd. I can work out by myself, but if I can’t get my teammates up and make sure they’re doing something too, that’s a problem for me because everyone needs to be successfully for your team to be successful.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“I feel great about this year with almost everyone off our O-line coming back and a lot of 3-year starters and players coming back. With a lot of senior leadership going with that, we should have a good winning season. That’s always the goal.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“With there being a new one-year schedule this year, our biggest competition is Waukee. You know I’ve heard they’re always a really good team with some really good players.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“Dayson Clayton, running back from Fort Dodge.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve been talking to a lot of coaches here and there, but there’s Dordt, Iowa Central, Bemidji State, Kansas State, Wartburg, the Miami RedHawks, and Northwest Missouri State.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I went on a gameday visit at Iowa Central and I have plans lined up for junior days, spring practices and visits, but due to this virus some of those things have been cancelled and postponed.”

Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“Yes, when the virus gets under control and they start to reschedule these junior days, visits and camps.”

What camps are you planning to do this summer?
“Kansas State, Iowa, Iowa State, Northwest Missouri State, UNI, and a few more that I am undecided on.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Oregon has always been my favorite college and still is too this day.”
