How did the high school football season go overall?
“The season went great. Obviously. it didn’t end the way we were hoping it to, but with us losing so many key players from last year’s team, it was great to see so many people step up and fill those roles.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I got basketball starting up, but along with that, our football liftings don’t stop. We will be back to work very soon.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I think going into this year, most people knew we were going to run a lot with Ian and I back there. I definitely want to become a more precise passer, along with strengthening my arm to add another threat for defenses. I want to make them respect it more.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Every year, we have had people step up and take over the roles of our stars. Our goals stay the same every year with it being district champions and a trip to the Dome. From there, we can make different goals.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“We have Pella Christian on our schedule again this next year, and they will be more than solid. However in the playoffs, if we are to see Dike New-Hartford or West Sioux again, they both have their quarterbacks and running backs back, so those will be some very tough games.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I have always wanted to play baseball in college, but mainly for me right now it would be education over sports.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Nothing big. It has been a few DIII letters.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not yet.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“Absolutely. My entire family have always been huge Hawkeye fans, and I fell into that tradition as well.”
