How did the high school football season go overall?
“This season was very different from Covid, but the coaches made it go very well and very smoothly. Going into the season, we had a lot of questions about how many new starters we had. It ended up being a very successful season, but we came up just short of the ultimate goal we had.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I am in basketball right now, will be in track during the spring, and then playing baseball in the summer. With workouts right now I am doing our lifting program through our football program and lifting during P.E.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“For next season, we do bring back a good number of starters, but we do lose some key positions. Overall, I think we can be a very good team next year.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Since we don't know what our schedule is at this point, I think if we keep Winterset on our schedule, they could be one of the tougher teams we play in the regular season. They were a very good team this year, and I can see them being a very good team next year.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Staying with Winterset, I think Dawson Forgy is a very good player and could have another outstanding season like he had this year. With another year of experience and an offseason to get bigger, faster, and stronger, he could definitely be one of the best players we face next season if Winterset is kept on our schedule.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Right now, I am looking to play sports at the college level, and probably leaning towards playing football as of right now. With that being said, I am leaving all my options open right now, and not 100% set on anything right now.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“As of right now, there are a few colleges that reached out during, and shortly after the football season ended, but as of right now, not really any coaches reaching out.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I made one gameday visit to Northwestern College during the season, but that is it.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“Right now, I have no trips scheduled.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My family and I have always been very big Iowa Hawkeye fans.”
