How did the high school football season go overall?
“We had a great turnaround year from last year. We went 6-3 and obviously didn’t make the playoffs. That was our main goal. I’d say we were pretty happy with how things went and made some history along the way.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Wrestling season is already here so that is my main priority now. I still will be able to work out all the time, but I’ll just need to make sure I keep my weight right. After wrestling, I’m going to look to start packing on more weight and just keep getting stronger. I plan on doing track this year also.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“The thing that I am trying to improve on most is just becoming more comfortable with the offense. We put in a new system this year and I’m just looking to continue to grow in that. I want to improve my arm strength and reading defenses.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like our team is in for a great year. We lose a great senior class, but we have some good experienced young guys that will be able to fill those spots. We’ll just look to build off what we did this year and get into the playoffs.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
I feel like we play in a really tough district, so every week we go play great competition. I think a great team we will play next year is Underwood. They had a pretty good year this year and also beat us. I’m looking forward to playing them next year.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I would love to play football at the next level.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I haven’t really got too much into recruitment yet, but I have emailed with a couple schools. I’m hoping to really start getting the recruiting process going.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I did go down to Wayne State for a game day visit earlier this fall.”

Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“Not any more this fall.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“It’s a Hawkeye state and I’ve always loved the Hawkeyes.”
