How did the basketball season go for your team?
“I think that the basketball season went well for the most part. I think that we let a few too many regular season games slip away when they shouldn’t have, but we ended up making a strong run in the postseason. We made it to the district championship game and came into the tournament as a 4 seed. We beat the #1 ranked team in our district, Monticello. It was a very tight matchup and that young squad will definitely be a strong force in the RVC next year. I think our goal for next year as a team should be to make it to the substate game. That hasn’t been done here at Tipton for quite a while and I’m pretty sure that we have never made it to Wells Fargo arena.”

What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“In this off-season, I am really going to try and improve on being a more consistent shooter. I want to learn new ways to create space and get a shot off.”

What AAU team are you playing for this off-season? How do you feel your team will be?
“I don’t play on an AAU team. I never have either. “

How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“Concerning the 2019-2020 basketball season, we have a lot of roles that need to be filled on the basketball court next year. We lose 3 of our 5 starters due to graduation. I do believe that we have some younger guys that will step up, work hard, and transform into solid basketball players. This summer will be very important for us.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2019-2020?
“The toughest game on our 2019-2020 schedule will be facing the Regals of Iowa City Regina. They are a tough team and will have a lot of solid returning talent. A name that people recognize from ICR is Masen Miller. Masen is a great player and I enjoy guarding him on the court. He is a vocal leader on the court and is always coaching his teammates and making them better. This is something I recognized this last year when we played them. I like the challenge of guarding Masen and I hope that the energy I bring when guarding him brings excitement to the game, crowd, and other players.”

What sport do you want to play in college?
“I am not sure on what sport I want to play in college. Right now, I am leaning towards track and cross country. I have got some recruiting letters but hope that this track season will propel me in the rankings. I have battled with a lot of injuries in the past, but now that I have grown into my body the injuries have depleted.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I plan to visit a lot of colleges this summer. As of right now though, I haven’t really visited any.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college growing up was UNI.”
