How has the preparation been going for this upcoming season?
“It’s been good. Our numbers have really increased this year, so it been good getting those young guys in the weight room and getting experience.”
What are your goals for the season?
“We want to be back to where we were in the state playoffs and hopefully continue and make it to the Dome.”
What areas do you feel your team needs to improve on?
“I feel like we need our younger guys and maybe less experienced guys to step up and play a major role in our offense and defense.”
Who do you feel is the toughest individual player you will play against this season?
“Wyatt Wegener from the Algona and Aaron Graves from Southeast Valley. Wyatt because he’s just an all-around great player and Aaron because he’s a big defensive end who just committed to Iowa.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“At the moment I’m not that worried about who’s recruiting me and who’s not because there really aren’t any. I’m just focused on getting it done on Friday nights.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have not made any college trips this summer just because I’ve been super busy with baseball.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I don’t have any plans for any trips, but as soon as football is over, I’ll definitely be looking into some trips.”
What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I haven’t really attended any camps this summer since baseball just got over a couple weeks ago and I was heavily focused on that, but I may be attending some.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite college team growing up was Iowa. I’ve always been a huge Hawkeye fan.”
