How did the high school football season go overall?
“Our season definitely had its ups and downs, but I was definitely happy with how it ended. After we started 1-5, we had some great senior leaders that rallied our team together to make the playoffs. We ended up making it to the semi-finals and got to play in the UNI-Dome after beating two pretty tough teams. So overall, I think we had a phenomenal season and I’m excited to see where the program moves from here.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Right now, I’m focusing on getting bigger, faster, and stronger through track and lifting before school.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“Right now, I’m mostly focused on doing those three things; getting bigger, faster and stronger. However, once summer workouts get started up, I really hope to improve my blocking technique and route running.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like our team will be really tough to beat, similar to last year. We have a lot of guys with experience returning who know what it takes to be great.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“We played the toughest schedule in the state last year, so every game is a tough one. However, I’m looking forward to playing Valley our first game of the year because we’ve had some really tight games with them over the last couple of years and they’re a great team.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I really want to play football in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“The colleges that have reached out to me include Columbia, Illinois State, Drake, Western Illinois, MSU-Moorhead, Dordt, Minnesota State, Grand View, St Cloud State, Missouri Western State, Winona State, Quincy, Concordia St Paul, Grinnell and Amherst.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“If I had to pick one, it would most likely be Illinois State. However, I’ve been in contact with Columbia, Dordt and Grand View frequently too.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I’ve made trips to Illinois State, St. Cloud State and Winona State.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I plan on visiting Missouri Western State, Drake, Concordia St Paul and Minnesota State before the spring is over.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve been a big Iowa State fan since I was a kid, but I’m a fan of any of the schools recruiting me now.”
