How do you feel your team will do this year on the football field?
“We lost a lot of good seniors from our Cinderella run in almost all positions, but I think out biggest losses were our D-line. Tanner Van Elson and Bo Ira were arguably the best combo in the state last year. I still believe the seniors that we have this year will still do well. Also, losing Gavin Williams is a big blow to our offense but we have a couple underdogs that not many people got to see last year.”

Who do you feel is the toughest individual player you will play against this season?
“I feel it will be Avery Gates. Last season, he went off and had an amazing junior year. Somehow, we somewhat controlled him that first playoff game, but without our seniors, he will be very hard to keep off the stat sheet.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I had a decent season last year and didn’t go as well as I wanted it to go but Dordt, Augustana in Sioux Falls, William Jewell, and Central College have mainly been the only ones that have reached out to me that have the programs that I want to pursue.”

Have any colleges offered you?
“Just Dordt University up in Sioux Center has offered me, but I knew that not many kickers get offers before their senior year because coaches want to see consistency and not just some highlights from a couple games.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I would say Dordt is recruiting me the most. Obviously, they have offered me but only have one kicker who is a freshman on their 2019 roster so the need for another specialist is there.”

Have you made any college trips yet
“I’ve made a trip up to Augustana, Concordia St. Paul, and Dordt but my summer hasn’t been to full of college trips.”

What camps did you do this summer and how did they go?
“I planned on doing a couple prospect camps but both actually cancelled on me a day before, so I was kind of upset. I got my chance at an instructional camp that also runs prospective camps and I got invited to the national showcase down in Austin, Texas in December.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve always been a huge Cyclone fan, but I love everything about college sports and I even collect college sweatshirts and have over 30 FBS and FCS schools.”
