How did the basketball season go for your team?
“We got to state, which was a first in a few years. We ended up getting third overall. It was good but not quite where we wanted. I think the season went well overall as I stepped into more of a scoring role.”

What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I’m playing with Martin Bros. this summer and I’ve been getting into the weight room a lot. I am shooting every day and trying to get better.”

What are your goals for the AAU season?
“I want to win a few tournaments. My goal is to make it to the final day in every tournament we play in.”

How do you believe your team will be next season?
“We lost our starting point guard and he was a big factor for us. We only lose two guys compared to the teams ahead of us in Iowa City West and West Des Moines Valley. Next year it is pretty much up to how much work we put in during the off-season.”

What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017?
“We always play the Sioux Falls schools and they are always good. We play Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln will be a good team.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Drake, USD, North Dakota State, Wayne State, Northwest Missouri State, Winona State, a North Dakota coach came to one of our practices, Briar Cliff, and a couple of others.”

Do you feel anyone is close to offering?
“I don’t know. Northwest Missouri State called me and said they really would like me to come down. Hopefully something can happen.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I took an unofficial to USD. Their coaches invited me down and it is only thirty minutes away.”

What camps are you going to this summer?
“Not at the moment but that stuff may pop up.”
