What have you been doing as of late with off-season workouts?
“Our school has had the privilege to be working with Premier Athlete training out of Ames. As of July 1, we have been able to get back into the school weight room. We have started developing a team bond and we are getting energy for this season.”

What are your goals for the season?
“Our team has already set really high expectations. We’re coming off a tough season last year, but we’re looking forward to turning things around and getting more wins under our belt.”

What areas do you feel your team needs to improve on?
“I think just like any other playoff team, or championship team, we have to become one unit. Once we get everyone playing for the person next to them, I think Roland-Story will be a serious game on everyone's schedule.”

Who is your opponent in the season opener and how do you feel about them overall?
“We open the season against an old rival, Nevada. After the last game of last year's season and how that ended, you could say we are building a lot of energy towards this game every day on the field and in the weight room.”

How do you feel your team will do this football season?
“Seeing the guys grow in the weight room and continue to play competitively on the football field this offseason, I don’t see a game on the schedule that we can’t win if we play together and play sharp.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“Personally, I never want to overlook any team. It really just depends on how the ball bounces under the lights on Friday night. With that being said, Clear Lake is definitely coming off of a very impressive season last year. We have eight weeks to build some momentum rolling into the final game of the year.”

Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against this fall?
“There are definitely a few names being thrown around in the locker room, but there isn’t going to be one player that can cause problems for the whole team. I feel very strongly that we have the right personnel, if put into the right places, we aren’t worried about a single player. We’ll have to look at the whole team from week to week and find the holes.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“It has always been a dream of mine to play college football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I’ve had a lot of interest, as well as camp and campus invites, but no offers yet.”

Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“I don’t have any scheduled.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I was playing of visiting a few this summer, but unfortunately most of them were canceled due to the restrictions regarding COVID.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have family that grew up in Minnesota, so I’ve always followed the University of Minnesota. I have been a huge fan of the Gophers’ wrestling team.”
