How did the high school football season go overall?
“Our season went pretty well. We went 9 and 1 and ended our season in the second round against MFL-Mar-Mac. I thought the team pulled through against some very tough competition. Two of our games were canceled due to covid/forfeit. I think this gave us a bit of a disadvantage later on in the season. I know we could have gone a lot further than we did but I’m proud of how we ended the year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I have been hitting the weights hard and working on my speed for next season. I plan to run track and continue working out twice a day. I am trying to work on both my weight gain and my footwork.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel like our team will do very well next year. We lost several seniors and most of our line this year but I’m confident that we have guys who will be ready to step up and take their place.”
What team do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule?
“I feel like next season our toughest competition will be Williamsburg. They have consistently trained good athletes and always put up a fight.”
Who is the toughest individual player your team will face off against?
“Nolan Delong from Durant, Andy Henson from West Branch, Anthony Isley from Mediapolis.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I’ve always wanted to play sports in college. If I could choose a sport it would be Football.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I have taken visits to the University of Iowa, University of Northern Iowa, Iowa State, and the University of Utah. I have also heard from several smaller schools located in Illinois, Iowa, Texas, and Wisconsin.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I’d rather not discuss a lot of my recruiting just yet other than I will say I’m looking for an opportunity to play and the best fit for myself. I definitely feel I can make a contribution at the next level. I feel blessed that I’ve been given the opportunity at Regina with some great guys and coaches and hope to extend my time in this game beyond high school.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“N/A.”
Do you have plans for any trips soon?
“I plan on attending a lot of camps this summer and hope to do additional college visits in the off-season.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I was raised in a household of Hawkeye fans so that’s probably the school I followed the most, my mom also graduated from the University of Iowa. My sister plays volleyball for the University of Utah so I have looked into that PAC 12 college as well.”
