How have the preseason practices been going so far?
“It has been going pretty well overall. We are really young and inexperienced but once we get a little confidence, I think we can be pretty salty by the end of the season.”
What can your team improve on?
“It is just playing as a team. We only have three returners coming back so we are really young. We have to understand our strengths and weaknesses as a team. I think overall we’ll do pretty well.”
What do you know about your next opponent in Webster City?
“They are returning a lot of players with three of their top four scorers returning. Besides that, we matchup pretty well. Despite how young we are, we are athletic. We can get out and run. It should be a good test for us.”
What are the keys for your team being successful this winter?
“It is just the upper classmen stepping up as leaders. The young guys may lack confidence, but they are athletic and can play with anyone.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“For basketball now, Briar Cliff is showing the most interest and then some other schools are seeing how I’ve been doing. For baseball, Northwestern out of St. Paul is showing some interest. I went to a camp at Creighton and felt that it went really well. Augustana has been showing some interest and Grand View too.”
What sport are you leaning towards as of today?
“Right now, I’d have to say baseball because I got done with it recently, but I love those two sports. As of right now, it is baseball.”

“I would say for baseball it is either Northwestern out of St. Paul or Augustana. Creighton emailed me about their camp and it was nice. For basketball, it’d be Briar Cliff.”
