How did the AAU basketball season go for your team?
“It wasn’t too dad. We had some injuries so we weren’t full strength during a few tournaments. Outside of that, it was a great spring.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“Right now, it is basically school ball. We are having team camps and workouts. I am going to the UNI elite camp and possibly Drake camp.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“I would like to be more of a perimeter guy. This past year for school, I was a low post guy. My post moves still need work but I’d like to handle the ball more to get past my defenders.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“This year was a big improvement. We only lost one that played in the regular rotation. We should do pretty good. I am excited.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2017?
“The conference has changed a lot but I’d definitely say Norwalk because of (Luke) Vaske and Bowen Born. We have a few non-conference teams. We’ll play Wahlert in Dubuque and that will be pretty good.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Recently I have gotten letters from Omaha, Belmont, and recently Drake called. I talked to Ali Farokhmanesh recently. There is also St. Cloud State, UNI, and I’ve been keeping in touch with an Iowa assistant coach.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Cornell asked for my transcripts already. Then there are some Ivy League schools and Drake. Drake seems really interested. Elon sent me a letter and they seem pretty interested. People have been sending letters and calling.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not this spring but I plan on going to Drake for an unofficial visit.”
