How did the AAU season go for you during the off-season?
“AAU went pretty good as we had some new teammates who were great to play with. Obviously, it didn’t get to go all over the place due to COVID, but we still had a good experience.”
How have preseason workouts been going for the season?
“Preseason workouts have been going good. I’ve been lifting a lot and working on basketball just as much. It has been nice to get back in the gym.”
What have you improved on the most since last season?
“I have improved on my vertical and my ball handling a lot. I worked on my vertical a lot and there have been some major improvements. Ball handling has been something I want to get better at, and I feel I finally am.”
How do you believe your high school basketball team will be next season?
“I think we will be a tough team to beat as most teams in the conference lost a lot, but so did we. I think we have good chemistry and got some athletic kids stepping up this year. I’m super excited for the season.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule?
“I think the toughest team with either be Boyden Hull or Central Lyon as both teams have some kids who can do some damage. Both are really solid teams.”
Who do you open the season and what are your thoughts on them?
“I believe we open up our season with Rock Valley. I know some kids in my grade there are pretty good, and they are known for their physicality and being bigger than everyone so we will be prepared for them.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I would love to play basketball in college, but also golf. I love both sports and work very hard in both of them.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Colleges that have been recruiting me are Augustana, USD, SDSU, Idaho State, UNI, Nebraska-Omaha, Morningside, Winona State, Wayne State, Northern State, Dordt, and other NAIA schools.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“Northwestern and Briar Cliff have offered me, so I would say they are recruiting the hardest.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have made one to Northwestern and Briar Cliff. I have one scheduled here in the next week or so with Wayne State.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“My favorite colleges growing up were Iowa and Creighton.”
