Q&A with North Scott running back Jared Rus

What have you been doing as of late with your workouts?
“I just got done with baseball and I’ve been going to workouts with the team. I’ve been going to camps and working out with a few teammates on the side. I’ve been working on quickness, speed, and strength.”

How do you feel about your first opponent of the football season in Davenport Assumption?
“I know that they are a pretty good team. I just remember last year they beat us pretty good. I feel we can get back at them this year.”

Did you do any college camps this summer?
“I went to Northwest Missouri State, UNI, and North Dakota. I was scheduled to do a couple more but I hurt my knee halfway through and had to sit out.”

How did those camps go?
“Each camp I thought I did pretty well at. Northwest Missouri State is where I ran probably my fastest time.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“North Dakota State is probably recruiting me the hardest, Northwest Missouri State, Drake, Indiana State, and a lot of smaller schools too.”

What are some of the smaller schools?
“Mostly Minnesota State and Cornell.”

Do you have any plans for upcoming visits?
“No.”
