What did it mean to know that you’ll be playing at state this week?
“It is a fantastic feeling. It is more than just for us but also our whole community. It is a really thrilling feeling.”

What do you know about your opponent in Iowa City West
“We are excited. We know we have to beat the best to be the best. They have a bunch of talented players and we’ll be ready for the challenge. We know that they have a good front court but we just basically have to be up to the challenge that day.”

What do you know about their players?
“The McCaffery boys always stand out. They are really good players. Their team has been to state seven straight years but they probably stick out the best.”

What are the keys that will determine the winner?
“It is definitely a quick start and getting stops defensively. They want to have a big scoring game so we have to try and slow them down. We really have to grind and execute. We really have to play defense.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“There is still just a bunch of Division II (schools). It is Winona State, Sioux Falls is the most recent ones, and then NAIA schools like Briar Cliff.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“Not yet. I am planning over the next two weeks during spring break. I’ll probably head down to San Diego and take a visit to Point Loma.”

What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I’d probably say either Winona State or Briar Cliff right now.”
