How has the season been going so far?
“The season is going good so far. Everyone is having a lot of fun and we are really coming together and finding our true chemistry as a team. We get better every time we are on the court together.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“I think rebounding has always been a weakness of ours, as we are a bit undersized. I would also say at times we are inconsistent with our half-court offense and our ability to score in the half-court.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“We just have to continue to improve every day and keep up our hard-nosed defense.”
How do you feel you have been playing?
“I could definitely handle the ball more effectively. I have more turnovers than I would like, and I just need to be a little more careful and protective of the ball. I would say I’m playing alright, but it can always improve.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this year?
“I want to be a more consistent threat to score and use the moves I practice every day effectively. I’m also trying to improve my leadership with positive encouragement because we are a young team.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“Continue to win. That has always been my main focus. As a team, we want nothing short of that state championship banner.”
What sport do you want to play in college?
“I haven’t taken much consideration into that yet, but I am definitely looking to play sports in college. If I had to pick one, it would be basketball.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I currently have not had any reach out to me yet.
Have you made any college trips yet?
“As a class, we have visited some campuses like Iowa Central and BV.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’ve always been an Iowa fan, but my friends now see me as a bandwagon because I have apparel from just about any D1 college in the country.”
