How did the high school football season go overall?
“This football season was a very competitive season. This past season’s schedule was probably one of the tougher schedules in the state of Iowa in my opinion. We just never could keep anything going and we ended 3-6.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“My plans now are to compete in baseball while staying active in the weight room and keeping my body in good shape. This past winter, I competed in wrestling for the Chickasaws and found myself a very successful junior varsity season.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“This off-season, my goal is to improve my strength. This year will be my third year playing varsity football and we are in a spot this year that we will need our seniors to step up and that's what my goal is.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I actually have been thinking about this question for quite some time and I think this year’s team is going to be very, very young. But we have plenty of talent to do big things but it's going to take a lot of hard work.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“Honestly, I think our toughest competition this season will be the Waukon Indians. Last year, they were a very, very young team that still went a long-ways. They are only losing a couple of key seniors and are returning a lot of their starters.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, in fact my dream is to play college sports. I honestly don't care which sport, whether it’s baseball or football, but I would love to play in college somewhere.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I wouldn't say anybody has really shown interest in me as of yet, but I do have a few looks.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I have visited Cornell College in Mount Vernon with one of my buddies during this past season, but that's the only visit I've been on to this point.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“I am working on scheduling a visit to Central College in Pella soon.”

“My favorite college has always been University of Iowa.”
