How has the season been going so far?
“The season has gone great. The team continues to get better heading into the postseason.”
What do you feel your team can improve on?
“We can always improve on rebounding and getting to the glass. Defense down the stretch will also be key for us.”
What are the keys for your team being successful going forward?
“Defense down the stretch and rebounding will be big keys for us to be successful.”
How do you feel you have been playing?
“I feel like I have had a good season so far. There is always things to improve on, but I feel like I’ve been playing well.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this year?
“I’m just improving on staying confident in both hands. I also have been trying to improve on finishing around the rim better this season.”
What are your goals for the rest of the season?
“My goals for the rest of the year are to just lead this team to state and get the best out of my teammates for us to be successful.”
Why did you end up picking Truman State?
“I picked Truman State because it felt like home. The team is full of great guys and the coaching staff is a great group of guys. I just really loved it down there and I’m excited to have a home at TSU.”
Are other schools still recruiting you?
“I have gotten some things for football but as far as basketball goes, I have not heard from any new coaches.”
Why did you decide to end the process so early on?
“My family and I had talked about it and I just knew that TSU was where I wanted to be. At the end of the day, everyone can only pick one school and Truman State is where I want to be.”
Have you been able to visit Truman State as of late?
“I took an unofficial visit to Truman State in August and I also went to a football game this past fall. I plan on attending some basketball games here soon.”
What do you believe you have done in order to differentiate yourself from your peers to have success in sports?
“I just think that working hard and staying persistent is important. If I continue to keep pushing myself and keep bettering myself, that’s the best way to differentiate myself.”
