How did the high school football season go overall?
“Overall, this season went good. We made a big jump from a 1-8 last season to 4-5 this season. We were in every game, even if the score didn’t show it a couple of games. The seniors showed great leadership on and off the field, which really helped our team. The coaches did a good job preparing us for games, along with keeping us in good shape and keeping us healthy.”

What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Now that football season is over, I am preparing for the best season which is basketball. I am a point guard on our varsity team. I will continue to lift weights four days a week throughout the season.”

What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“This off-season, I will work on being a better runner. I think it is important to have a quarterback that is able to run. I know I have the ability to run, but I need to work on it. I am also going to work on going through my progressions. I need to do a better job as I go through my progressions.”

How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“I feel my team will come out ready to play next season. We will lose some key seniors in Garret Keehner, Zach Trudo, Michael Egan, Jamarr Tanniehill, Dylan Corlett, and Riley Willie, but I know the young guys are going to be ready to take over. I know Max Havlicek is ready to contribute more to the offense as he is in the weight room with me for four days a week. Our entire line will be returning for next season. They are all experienced and they will be a crucial part of our offense. I am excited for next season and have big expectations of our team. Two young freshmen, Cullen McShane and Gabe Mcgeough, are going to be sophomores who will share duties in the backfield with Kutter Anderson and Ethan Stubbs. Two sophomores going to be juniors Max Havlicek and Cayden Ball will see more targets, along with junior going to be senior Logan Klenk.”

Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I think our toughest game on the schedule next year will be either Edgewood-Colesburg or Sumner-Fredricksburg. Ed-Co is losing their best player in Preston Rochford, but his brother Parker Rochford will be returning along with Max Bahls. Sumner-Fredricksburg will lose a lot on their line but will bring back a dynamic player in Kelby Olson.”

Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I am involved in three-sports and maybe four this year as I am contemplating going out for track. The three sports are football, basketball, and baseball. If I get an opportunity at the right college for any of those sports, I would gladly play in college. If I had to pick between the three, it would be football.”

What colleges have been recruiting you?
“For baseball, I have had multiple camp invites from Delaware State, South Dakota State, Longwood, Coastal Carolina, and Shepherd University. For football, I have received a game invite from William Penn University.”

Have you made any college trips yet?
“I haven’t made any college visits yet but am going to in the spring.”

Do you have plans for game day trips this fall?
“No plans for game trips as I was only offered one and the dates didn’t work out.”

Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have been a fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes my whole life. Go Hawks.”
