How has the football season been going for your team?
“Our first game I think we started out really strong. Then we struggled against Mount Pleasant but our effort was great. We need more practice defending the pass.”
What areas can your team improve on?
“I think it is mostly playing the whole game and staying fast is what we have struggled with. It takes us playing four quarters and finishing through plays.”
What do you know about your next opponent in Northeast Gooselake?
“We know that they’ll throw the ball. They like to give it to their big tight end and I think he is 6-8. They’ll throw a lot of screens and they’ll pass it down the field. They’ll make us cover it. We have to be prepared for that.”
What are the keys for your team to be successful?
“Being able to move the ball and keeping people healthy. We lost our quarterback with a torn ACL and we have had a few ankle sprains and hamstrings. Stuff like that.”
Do you want to play football in college?
“Yes, I’d love to play in college.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“No, not at this point.”
What camps did you do during the summer?
“I went to an Iowa bigman camp and I also went to the Iowa State bigman camp as well.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I have always liked the Ohio State Buckeyes. Other than that, Iowa is my favorite team around here to root for.”
