How did the football season go for your team?
“I️ think we had a good year. We had plenty of good wins, but lost some that we knew we should’ve won. We were starting to really get on a role at the end of the season, but it wasn’t enough to get to the playoffs.”
What are your workout plans now going forward?
“I plan on hitting the weights as much as possible and try to get some speed work in as well. I️ want to get a lot bigger and faster.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“I’m trying to improve some technique and get better at the little things. This being my first year playing d-tackle, I️ kind of just got thrown into it. It was a learning experience. Getting the technique down, instead of just being physical, will help out a lot next season.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“Our potential next year is through the roof. We have a lot of returning starters from the last couple of years and we have experience. There is no reason we shouldn’t make the Dome next year and that’s the ultimate goal. Hopefully we can pull off a Class 3A championship.”
What is the toughest game on your schedule for 2018?
“I’m not completely sure on who we play next year with us moving districts. I️ do know that our non-conference games are against Washington and Union. Both of those teams are very good and are programs known for winning. I️ have respect for both of those teams and am excited to play them. Both of those teams have to be up there for toughest teams we play.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Playing sports in college has always been something I’ve wanted to do. I’d d love to play football or baseball in college. That’s just been a dream of mind.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“No schools have been recruiting me to my knowledge. A couple of schools have brought up my name to Coach Lovell, but I️ haven’t been told I’m m getting recruited. Hopefully after this season or going into next season, something will occur.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“No official college trips for any sports, but I’m m hopefully looking forward to that process if any of that comes up.”
What camps are you going to this summer?
“I’m going try to do some camps this year. It’s hard with the amount of time baseball takes up but camps could really be useful in tuning different skills. I️ would also like to do another strength and conditioning camp. I️ did one with Coach Doyle at Iowa and it was awesome”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’m a big Hawk fan. I️ also like UNI a lot. My friends and family all went to UNI and I️ think it’s a great place.”
