How did the high school football season go overall?
“Our season as a team didn’t go very well. We understand that having three seniors isn’t exactly ideal, but we knew what we were made of and thought we could get at least four wins.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“I’m participating in our schools musical, so that makes it harder to get to sports activities, but I am wrestling Wednesday nights and typically Friday mornings and lifting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“I am trying to fill out my frame and gain weight. I’m also trying to work on becoming more explosive, which have both been going well.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Our team has a very bright future. We may be the hungriest team in all of Iowa, winning only two games in the last three years. We plan on making the playoffs and won’t accept anything less.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“I would say our toughest competition next season will be Western Dubuque. We have Xavier on our schedule, but I personally think West Dubuque will have the better team. We like our chances against everyone.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“I would like to play football in college if the opportunity is there.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Simpson and Wartburg have invited me to visit their campus. I plan on visiting Wartburg on May 1st, but don’t think I will be visiting Simpson. I have also been getting letters from some out of state schools but don’t plan on leaving Iowa unless it’s an awesome opportunity.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“As of now, I haven’t made any visits to colleges but have one to Wartburg upcoming.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I’m a Hawkeye fan and my brother Lincoln is a manager with the football team there right now. I’ve always loved the thought of being a Hawkeye but still have a long way to go.”
