How did the high school football season go overall?
“For the team, it was the best season Linn Mar has had since 2014. We were 6-3 with a district 4A championship and made the playoffs. Overall, it was pretty good but not where we want to be moving on to these next couple of years. Individually, the season went great. Starting at cornerback as a sophomore was a big step. Making first team All-District, 2nd Team All- State, and leading class 4A in interceptions were all things I'm very proud of and look to improve on for next year.”
What are your plans now with sports and workouts?
“Working on strength and speed in the weight room and getting ready for track season. Then there will be lots of summer 7 on 7 camps with the LevelUp elite team and school team.”
What are you trying to improve on the most as a player?
“Working on my physical size, I've gained 15lbs since football has been over. I believe I have the skill set of what it takes to be one of the top WR/DB in the state but I'm wanting to be more of a physical player next year.”
How do you feel your team will do next football season?
“Our goals are set high for next year. We have a lot of returning starters, making a deep playoff run and a shot to get to the state championship will be the main goal.”
Who do you feel will be the toughest competition on your schedule next season?
“We play Waukee, which has been a traditional playoff team and are always going to be one of the top teams in the state.”
Do you want to play sports in college? If so, which one?
“Yes, I want to play college at the highest level possible.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“Right now, just finishing my sophomore year I haven't gotten a lot of attention from colleges. There are a lot of D3 letters, but nothing serious.”
Do you have plans for more trips soon?
“No.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“The University of Iowa.”
