How did the football season go for your team?
“We started out kind of slow but started figuring out what we needed to do. Our seniors stepped up to lead the team like they were supposed to. The coaches are really good coaches. I think they are the best in the state and helped us out a lot. We ended on a good note beating Valley. That was really cool.”
What are you trying to improve on the most this off-season?
“I want to be more vocal. I want to be more of a role model leading next year. I’ll be a junior and we need younger guys to step up. I have to help out and step up as a leader.”
How do you believe your team will be next season?
“I think we’ll be really good. We have a whole bunch of returners on offense and defense. I think we might be just as good, if not better than this year.”
What colleges have offered you so far?
“I have one from Minnesota and one from Iowa State.”
What colleges have been recruiting you?
“I just went to Notre Dame (Saturday) for a game. They are the only other one.”
Are you hearing from Iowa and Nebraska at all?
“No, I haven’t heard from them.”
How was the trip to Notre Dame?
“That was really cool. It is a cool seeing everything up there. The game was really cool. I had never been to Notre Dame. Their campus was really nice.”
What school is recruiting you the hardest?
“I wouldn’t say one is recruiting me hard. They are all about the same.”
Have you made any college trips yet?
“I went to the Minnesota game against Illinois and the Iowa State game vs. Iowa.”
When do you want to make a final decision?
“I haven’t really though about that yet. I haven’t thought about where I want to go or what I want to do academically. I haven’t looked into that.”
Did you have a favorite college growing up?
“I didn’t really have a favorite college team. I was more of an NFL fan.”
